Mike graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Spring of 1980. He and his family moved to Phoenix from Los Alamos, New Mexico in November 1989 to manage the branch office of Bridgers and Paxton Engineering based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mike became partner 1990 and built the office from 3 employees to over 12 and expanded the office into electrical engineering. In April 1994, he founded Kraemer Engineering, Inc. (KEI) which was changed to Kraemer Consulting Engineers, PLLC (KCE) in 2008.
Mike now has over 40 years of experience in the consulting MP&E engineering business and has helped KCE become one of the premier MP&E consulting firms in Arizona and the Southwest. He is responsible for the acquisition of many high profile clients and has managed to retain most of those clients to this day. He has been responsible for designing and managing projects in multiple markets including educational, Industrial, commercial office, retail , institutional, and hospitality.
His success in the consulting engineering business has been through his employees and partners. The official motto of the company is “Work Hard, Play Hard”. He believes in giving people the opportunity to improve themselves, grow within the company, and be successful for themselves and their families. He is very proud of the accomplishments of the firm for all these years and hopes to be a presence in the company for several years to come as he enjoys semi-retirement.
